District concerts and sing-a-longs provide cheer and light this winter season

Musical opportunities abound in the days leading up to winter break at Osseo Area Schools, with multiple schools hosting concerts and sing-a-longs for families to enjoy the warmth of music during the cold days of December.

Park Brook Elementary School’s gymnasium was packed with families Dec. 20, where students from each grade took turns getting onto the risers and singing songs for the assembled audience.

At Fair Oaks Elementary School, the entire student body lined up in their gymnasium for a sing-a-long, with some parts featuring smaller groups of students and some songs performed by all. The festive event ended on a particularly exciting note, when students got the chance to pie staff members’ faces as a prize for meeting school fundraising goals this fall.

Also on Dec. 20, students at Fernbrook Elementary School gathered for an all-school sing along. The students sang songs including Deck the Halls, Feliz Navidad, Candles of Hanukkah, Mele Kalikimaka and Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer.
